Lately, one word has been echoing everywhere: GEOPOLITICS.
But what does it actually mean?
And why is it so often associated with war? Here is the explanation.

What is Geopolitics?

Geopolitics is the study of the relationship between geography, politics, and power. It analyzes how a country's location, natural resources, and other geographic factors influence its foreign policy and international relations.

Geopolitics covers key aspects such as:

• Strategic Location: A country's geographic position and how it affects its strategic interests.
• Natural Resources: The availability of resources like oil, gas, and minerals that determine a nation's economic and political power.
• Borders: National boundaries and how they shape relationships with neighboring countries.
• Sea Power: A nation's ability to control the seas and international trade routes.

Geopolitics helps us understand how countries interact, cooperate, and compete on the global stage. Examples: The Cold War, the rivalry between the US and China, and conflicts in the Middle East

When Did Humans Start Going to War?

War often starts from something trivial. It can begin with personal hostility, then spread to groups, communities, tribes, and eventually to nations.

In fact, according to religious narratives, hostility began when Allah created the first human, Adam. When Allah informed the Angels of His intention to create humans, the Angels questioned it, saying that humans would cause bloodshed. Allah replied: "Indeed, I know what you do not know."

And it came to pass. When Adam was created, Satan, who was created earlier, was commanded by Allah to prostrate to Adam out of respect. Satan refused out of pride, feeling superior to Adam.

This cycle of conflict has continued through generations — within families, between groups, tribes, and nations. It starts with words, escalates to physical violence, driven by feelings of offense, the desire to control territory, and ultimately, human greed and desire.

Will It Ever End?

The answer is: NO.
Besides human desire, this cycle also involves Satan, whose influence is unseen but very powerful. And it has been decreed. Even if two warring sides make peace, new conflicts will emerge elsewhere, sometimes triggered by the smallest and most trivial things.

The Root Cause: Ingratitude

At its core, this happens because humans are ungrateful. God has provided a beautiful world with abundant resources — enough food to sustain life and the command to worship Him. "I did not create jinn and humans except to worship Me."

Those who worship will be rewarded with Paradise, full of blessings. But with our short lives, humans often forget. We follow our desires and the whispers of Satan, leading to destruction through greed: destroying nature by deforestation, and destroying human creations through war.

In truth, a peaceful life is beautiful. Feeling safe brings tranquility, and tranquility brings happiness. War only brings destruction and suffering — from the deaths of civilians in conflict zones to severe economic impacts.
