Could It Ever Exist? My Silly Daydream About a World Without Crime

I once thought, how can we make this world completely free of crime? So that life is truly peaceful, no thieves, no corruption, no robbery. But is it possible? Maybe this is just my silly daydream.

It Started With a Frog by the River

I was born in a small village. When I was in elementary school, there was no TV in my village, I didn't know any news from the outside world.

One afternoon, while playing by the river, I saw a frog. A frog can live on land and can also jump into the water. From there, a silly thought came to my mind: "What if a tank could be like a frog?"

My childhood imagination: From a frog that lives on land and water, I imagined a tank that could do the same. Years later, I learned it really exists: the amphibious tank.

A few years later, a neighbor bought a TV. When I watched the news, it turned out it already existed. It's called an amphibious tank. My daydream by the river had already been created by someone else.

Since then I believe, today's silly daydream can become tomorrow's reality.

My Second Silly Daydream: The Emotion Crime Destroyer (ECD)

Now, I am still often angry seeing crimes on the news. Theft, fraud, murder. So I think again, how to erase someone's evil emotional trait?

I imagine a tool that I call Emotion Crime Destroyer (ECD).

Its basic principle is to cut the wavelength of human emotion when someone is about to commit a crime. Whether it's an electromagnetic wave, gamma, beta, alpha wave or others. Just like the lie detector test used by the police.

Only, if the lie detector only detects, this ECD tool shoots and immediately cuts off the evil emotional wave. So the person who was about to steal suddenly becomes weak, conscious, and cancels it.

But is it possible for such a tool to be created?

Technologically, it might be possible. Because human emotion is basically an electrical and chemical reaction in the brain. If its frequency can be read, it should also be able to be cut off. But ethically, it's dangerous. Who has the right to determine which emotion is evil and which is good?

It Turns Out The World Is Deliberately Designed To Have Evil

If we examine it further, I finally realized. Humans were created in this world as a test from God.

God is doing a screening. Who deserves to be put in heaven and who deserves to be put in hell. That's why humans were given lust, given reason, given choices.

If my ECD tool really existed and all crime disappeared, then what would be the purpose of that test?

If The World Is Always Peaceful, Humans Will Get Bored

Then I thought again. What if there really is no crime and life is always peaceful?

Probably humans will also get bored. Because it is considered monotonous, no variation, no challenge. Because humans have a sense of boredom.

Even the devil will eventually become unemployed, with no job to tempt humans. Even though his job is to tempt.

So maybe, the existence of evil is not to be totally erased with a tool, but to be fought with faith, knowledge, and morals. Goodness only feels beautiful because there is evil as a comparison.

Maybe my daydream about this ECD is indeed silly. But from the frog on the riverbank, I learned that there is nothing wrong with daydreaming. Who knows, today's silly daydream is a prayer for the future.
